And so this is the biggest fight in this division, since the Floyd vs Manny, but the circumstances are different. And perhaps this could be the biggest fight of the year in terms of PPV numbers and the money being generated, maybe close with GGG vs Canelo.
I'm not sure if it will be bigger than GGG vs Canelo fight, although this fight is way better than the latter, I think Canelo is very popular and could generate a lot of money for their fight. However, I believe it will still earn a decent revenue since Spence Jr. has a good number of PPV in his previous fights, and since it's an anticipated fight, that will surely improve.
I guess the argument for this is that we have been waiting for the two to fight. As compare to GGG vs Canelo which is the trilogy already, and then others says that GGG is way past his prime already.
But in this case, it's prime for prime boxers, no losses, and then a unification fight. I can't recall when is the last time we have a unification fight in the Welterweight division.
