Temba Bavuma is not known as a prolific striker of the ball in T20 and he is struggling in Indian pitches, advantage for India is that Dinesh Karthik has become a world class finisher and most of the time he does not getting the opportunity and he should be sent ahead of Hardik Pandya depending on the match situation so that he get more time in the middle.
After the first two matches i thought the series is done and dusted but it is good to see that India is fighting back without any major changes in the bowling unit.
Honestly I don't know why the selectors always give preference for Rishabh Pant ahead of Dinesh Karthik. Pant has failed again and again. Guys like Karthik and Saha are constantly overlooked because of their age (Saha has retired, for all practical purposes). Younger keepers such as Pant, Kishan and Samson have been given ample opportunities, but these guys never made full use of them. IMO, DK should be the keeper for the next 2-3 years at least. Till then, the younger guys need to prove that they can perform on a consistent basis.
BCCI's plan is long-term. Dinesh Karthik is now over 37 years old. He will be able to stay with the team for a maximum of 2 years. Rishab Pant may not be in good form now. But from now on, if BCCI cannot make Rishab Pant suitable for the Indian team, then the Indian team will be short of experienced players in the future. India has a lot of talented players. But there are very few experienced players. And so RIshab Pant played poorly in a few matches but BCCI is giving him ample opportunity to get back in form.
