Isn't this banking system weird all together?
It's absurd, for sure.
No arguing there. It's probably the weirdest business we have. Then again, "money" is weird too. To quote
Henry Ford:
It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.
I believe this is still true. Why work all your life for a tiny amount of money, while central banks create it a million times more money than you earn in a lifetime
in one afternoon?
