Mourinho made no commitment to be in the top 4, which would be ridiculous given that there are big top 4 (check budgets) and everyone else. Roma spent most of the season in a weakened squad, so even without winning the Conference League, Roma had a good season.

I believe that Roma will try, but I do not believe that it will work out. Ronaldo has many more interesting options. I think a lot of top clubs would be happy to sign him for a year with an option to renew.
