Hmm... It is a decentralized form of trading where people transact  directly with each other. Peer-to-peer trading has never been an option for me though since I started trading. Honestly it scares me even though it's being used by a lot of people.Of course people are also scammed through it 

That’s why in P2P transactions always use escrow.
Also you coin join localbitcoins and Paxful and use their Middleman service to trade cryptos.
There is nothing to fear an escrow is there and the trader with whom you are dealing with has good reputation.
While while doing P2P traders, try to use the payment system that can be tracked easily.
Always avoid gift cards or reedem codes in P2P deals. As majority of the scams happens here.
To be honest the users who don’t want to trust exchanges and give their identities to them, they can use this P2P deals hassle free.
