I guess it varies per country, but don't they have Child Services for cases like this?
Maybe during that time you can't think about Child Services or something, maybe the OP's intention is to give help right away, perhaps he has a soft spot for kids and is a kind hearted person.
For sure in a 1st world country, you might not see this is streets. But in a place where in lived-in, this is typical. So it's either you are going to help or not. And it's good that your his friend accepted crypto for special cases like this.
If they want to accept a special case, it means each other's privacy, not this will conclude something new again when everything is not openly.
But I agree if they give help on their own initiative and it really helps them and the children there.
