I am still at 33% progress. I don't know about the calculation but how much do I need to wager to reach 100 percent?

But that huge bonus, I think I need to find a new sports hobby to bet for and reach that point.
Just be yourself, stay at what you are and dont be triggered to wager more than what you usually do in order to rank up.
Anyway, although your wager in sports is counted as triple amount compared to wager in casino games but it will be hard for you to rank up if you do not make big bets.
So it is not recommended to rank up by pushing yourself with sporst wager only unless you are a whale who like to place big bets.
Regarding the bonus, some users have confirmed here what we get is not comparable to what we spend well there should be no motivation to pursue a higher VIP level
@danherbias07 already on the right track and just waiting for the time to arrive to hit the VIP, indeed if more active in sports it will take longer when compared to playing on casino.
