That's would be first time in the history that usually Germany has 4 spots for champion league but because Frankfurt has successfully became the champion of Europa league then they will automatically play at champion league although they were finish at 11th last season so for next season Bundesliga teams who playing at European competitions is 8 teams but i don't know they will have good achievement or not because besides Bayern the teams who playing at champion league such as Dortmund, Leipzig or Leverkusen only became an the underdog
Bundesliga have five team plays on Champion League next season but always Bayern Munich as great team achievement than Leipzig or Dortmund. I think after winning Europe League by Frankfurt and give chance with Bundesliga have 5 teams on Champion League not have any special thing. Maybe keep Bayern Munich as team who lead far than Dortmund, Leverkusen, Leipzig and Frankfurt. Nowadays Bundesliga team can't show top level performance on Champion League except Bayern Munich success lead until quarter final last season.
I agree with you, personaly i don't expect much from bundesliga teams in the champions league aside from bayern we might not even see the other teams pass the group stage, dortmund and leipzig level has gone down in recent years even bayern are not as they used to be they did a great job signing mane but how about their weak defense will they be able to compete at the european level.
