If Argentina met Portugal in the final it would be incredible. How the two countries that have two star players meet at the biggest football party in the world. Moreover, this is likely to be the last World Cup for them (Messi and Ronaldo). If this really happens this will be the most favorite match during the Qatar World Cup in my opinion.
It will be a dream match. Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi. I don't have much concerns about Argentina. They are one of the best teams right now. But the big question is about Portugal, as they are basically a one man army led by Ronaldo. If Ronaldo is properly marked by the opponent team, then Portugal will lose the match for sure. Hardly anyone else in their team has the capability to win matches. I am a big fan of Ronaldo, but I am being realistic here. In this tournament, I don't think that Portugal's chances are very bright.
I disagree. Lionel Messi performance in the national team does not come close to his brilliance when he plays for Barcelona. I don't think he has won a trophy with his national team. Argentina is strong without Messi, having Messi in the game may be unfavorable for them. Portugal doesn't have the best squad but they have Christiano Ronaldo. He makes all the difference. I don't think Portugal will win the world cup, but I believe they can beat a Messi Argentina anytime.
