Robert Lewandowski is not a bad player. I was also a little amazed to see his interest to play for Barcelona. But after all, it comes down to only one thing. Barcelona should not pay anything close to 50 million for a player who is aged. If this was the Barcelona of five or six years ago I think this would not have been a problem. But now if this transfer does not work it is going to be a very big problem for Barcelona. Bayern Munich is obviously going to bait Barcelona into spending more money for these players but Barcelona really should not get baited.
Barcelona will do everything possible to land Lewandowski this summer. Barcelona need Lewandowski or a lone striker to start next season, Xavi is even very optimistic that Barcelona can get the Bayern superstar signature in this transfer window. Several attempts have been made in this signing, one of which was Barcelona increasing the budget clause to convince Bayern Munich to accept their proposal. Lewandowski is only under contract for one more season with Bayern Munich, if Bayern do not want to accept Barcelona offer of course Bayern Munich will release Lewandowski for free next season.
