In my opinion, Ronaldo deserves to be captain of Man United.
Ronaldo is unarguably one of the best players of all time, and only a few footballers are worthy to tie his laces, but i'm afraid i do not consider Ronaldo to be a captain "material", let us be honest, Ronaldo somewhat plays for his individual accolades, he is less of a team player than what a captain should be, there are numerous times that the team have won, but Ronaldo was unhappy just cause he did not get on the scoresheet, now can we also talk about his discouraging body movements when the team is losing or when the game isn't going his way, that is not how you want your captain to behave, and if i were to be manager of Manchester United, i would definitely not be happy if Ronaldo is my skipper.
I don't agree with this because as you say on “numerous occasions the team have won but Ronaldo was unhappy just cause he did not get on the score sheet” Ronaldo is a player that I would say will give himself a target everytime he comes on the pitch and so far we have seen how far that mentality and hard work has brought him in his career, that is how he gets things done, that is how he pushes himself to achieve what he has so at any occasion he feels bad for failing on his daily task he shouldn’t be judged for it cause that's his individual set target. He also has leadership qualities which we have seen numerous times at Real Madrid and with Portuguese side when he was sidelined in the Euro's final and he was motivating his side from the sidelines that's what a leader and a team player does.
