Pauli was 3 points behind third-placed Hamburger. Pauli's players must perform consistently if they want to retain the top spot at the table next season. They can't be in the top two of the table if they can't be consistent. Darmstadt and Nurnburg are not weak opponents.
If you look and compare the actual condition of St Pauli this season is the same as Napoli in Serie A. Their performance at the start was very good and indeed it was proven by them being at the top without even bothering for a few weeks.
