Islam for one forbids gambling. But there are other religions that tolerated the game and but didn't embrace gambling per se.


Again, I wouldn't say that my religion allows it, but I'm not as devote as others maybe, that's why I still gamble. Even our churches have hosted some lottery in the past to raised money, so that is a double standards. And I would say it is a common practice for Christianity even back in the days, to raise money thru this methods for repairs of destroyed Churches.
