Will a new king of the cryptocurrency market will come?
The new king of the crypto market is not coming. Bitcoin is often compared to Ethereum and various predictions are made about the future of these assets. But these coins were initially positioned as completely different projects from each other and there is no point in considering them as competing products. Ethereum has already confidently taken its second place in the market and will remain so. Ethereum is the basis of blockchain products and the main foundation of the modern blockchain industry, while Bitcoin is an exchange investment asset.
Bitcoin will always take the lead and this has happened a lot of times. Others thought that Ethereum could be on top replacing Bitcoin but it didn't happen. Ethereum has huge potential but Bitcoin will always be consistent and will remain on top because it's the king of all cryptocurrencies. All altcoins including Ethereum will always rely on it.
We can always say what was, because it is known, but it is absolutely impossible to say what will be, because it is not known. Whether bitcoin will always take the lead is unknown. This may change in the future, although I doubt it is likely. Still, bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency and the only decentralized one, which makes it special to this day. The point here is not the potential that eth has, although this coin has also taken its niche and a firm position #2. It is possible that eth will take more and more market share from btc over time, but I believe the day when it even equals bitcoin is still very far away.
