Well, that is good advice.
People will always have this mindset especially those new in the crypto space --they think that it is very easy to make a profit, just invest and wait the right time but in altcoin investment is different. There is a risk because you don't know the project if that is a pump or dump with someone else.
if the OP wants to get a hand on some promising alts other than ETH, he can do so. however, he should keep up with the updates or progress of the project so he can easily get out if he feels the project is not going anywhere.
