First of all the main idea of crypto is decentralization and ISO standardization is the opposite of decentralization. One entity have a total control over which project is ideal or not is not really in line with Blockchain. And I believe most of people in crypto community actually care about ISO standard.
As ong as you are planning to convert some of it to fiat money at some point, your ideology doesn't matter and as long as you are buying ANYTHING expensive likee a car / houses / etc with it, you are going to dance their (regulators) tune. Even i you are not planning to sell and to hold, at some point you most probably need to kyc.
