The team that I hope a lot is from Japan, I don't know but since Japan had those legendary players I really liked their way of playing, I don't know if they remember Nakata, and from that spectacular World Cup that was in France 98, in fact they had such star players at the time that they made the iconic Nike commercial.
Japan may not have much chance against giants like Germany or Spain, but anything is possible in football. Despite never advancing past the Round of 16 at a World Cup, Japan is a strong contender to go one step further this time. And with players with Premier League experience, like Takumi Minamino and Takehiro Tomiyasu, Japan may have a chance.
The World Cup has produced many of the most enduring football heroes of the modern era, and Japan's Minamino or Tomiyasu may well join them.
In recent time we have good development in Japan but still they are not good enough for competing against tough teams from Europe and South America because recently I was watching one match against Costa Rica which they lost badly because they were far ahead from them in quality but still good things happening, and they are taking good experience from UEFA clubs and many players are giving their best with in next world cup they are in tough group where they have few chances but still as we all know any result is possible on match day.
In last few years, we have only two teams which are on well development in AFC and these are Japan and South Korea, third is Australia, but these all need some good time for having good future in this game.
