What I believed before really happened, even though Barcelona are in a bad financial situation but Barcelona is a big team which certainly won't be difficult to get income.

What Barcelona has done is a financial folly, a flight forward, as it is pawning the income of the future to make signings to see if it can succeed this year. If it works out well and wins titles this year, it will surely be able to sustain the financial situation, but if it does not win titles this season, it is going to have a bad time. I don't give him more than a couple of years if he does badly in sporting terms to become a SAD, which is a figure that all but four Spanish football clubs (Real Madrid, Barcelona, Athletic Club and Osasuna) were forced to convert to in 1990 because they were running up huge deficits in order to alleviate their financial situation.

What this figure does is to turn the club into a company with a shareholder, which could end up with Barcelona being bought by an outsider, as happened with Valencia under Peter Lim, which has been a disaster. Although there are times when the foreign investor is very successful in managing the club, as we have seen in the Premier League.
