Do not be tempted to see someone can be successful or can achieve a win with a huge amount that will change his life because it is very possible that he has been through it long enough to be able to achieve that and also the money he uses is also big, no one knows only he knows.
I think he mean those user that manage to win a big time jackpot by using small amount of money on game with huge win multiplier such as lottery, slots, sports betting parlay and etc which can change the fortune of the player if he manage to hit a max win or jackpot using a 1$ or 5$. We know many stories that a normal guy turns to millionaire by hitting a jackpot using small amount of cash.
Yeah, I have seen plenty of that before. Never really a millionaire from 1 dollar to be fair, that is just way too much. But, I have seen people earn tens of thousands of dollars from that type of small amounts for sure. Like gamble 1 dollar, get a 999x and you are already at nearly a thousand, get 9999 and you get 10k, that should be not impossible to fair because we have seen plenty of people win 9999x before. If that's such a common thing, think about all the other bigger stuff.
And if you invest just 10 bucks, that means you will get 100k instead of 10k in the same bet. This is why I believe that we shouldn't be shocked if we see people change their whole lives with the wins.
Without a doubt there are many examples of people earning significant amounts of money with a very small amount of capital, but this is very unlikely as the odds of actually doing so are not really in our favor.
However some people get obsessed with those long shot bets, as they think they only need to win once to improve their lives and they waste their money in the process while not seeing any improvement over their lives at all, which was the whole reason of taking those bets on the first place.

I gamble less now because I am spending most of the time watching gambling streams from best gambling streamers on Twitch since few months ago. If you gamble to entertain yourself, you can also find entertainment on watching these streamers and avoid losing money just to be entertained.

there's something about dopamine addiction/neurotransmitters that makes it really hard to stop playing/gambling for some people

When that type of substance is secreted, dopamine is very possible for the person to feel invincible, normally dopamine sometimes causes it to be activated in people who go to nightclubs a lot, but of course it is because of the prohibited substances that they consume, no I had seen or known the effect that it causes in gambling, I honestly believe that it is something very dangerous.
