I think Qatar is a bit better than what most people in the west think.
For example, Qatar ranks between Ecuador and Paraguay in the FIFA rankings. Qatar is ranked 49, Ecuador 44, and Paraguay 50.
So that tells you that it's basically around the lower teams of South America. That's not too bad as South America has a great talent
But, I am feeling they are not good enough because Asian soccer is still not good and stable like we have in Africa and UEFA and CONMEBOL is much superior from them even now few countries in the Middle East and South East Asia spending good amount for development of soccer but still it's a long way to go for them because It's going to take very long time with this Africa could be in much superior position because now they are also spending good amount on their domestic set up which is very important for them.
So, here most chances Qatar are having no chance of any point but if they play in excellent way then we can expect one point from them against Senegal with most chances match could be ends in draw.
