No one is denying his past contributions. But a time comes when the patience runs out. The same thing happened with Hardik Pandya, right? In case of Hardik, after he was dropped from the side, he focused really hard on his game and made a spectacular comeback. The problem with Kohli is that he is not even ready to admit that he is in trouble. Despite performing so poorly, he has refused to cut down on his activities other than cricket and focus on his game. And I can see that the selectors are at their at their wits end.
Here just no Hardik Pandya we have too many other examples where players dropped from team due to poor performance, and they fight back for their place and achieve targets with their focus and good performance but sadly right now in Kohli case I am feeling BCCI inner politics is also having big part and as he is not having good interest in his performance and not giving any positive signal it's giving indicator that peoples behind him still are strong enough to giving him good back up for staying into team without good performance.

Three years is enough for any player from here now surely he dropped from team and bringing some other talented youngster is also very important for selectors if they want to be positive for future.
