Tottenham are still after Memphis Depay but they haven't made any offer for him officially yet. I don't expect Barcelona to make any difficulties about this deal as they are also willing to sell him immediately. They need to start from somewhere to make their finance better. They wouldn't be able to make a huge profit in this transfer of course but it would be a start. Depay has been ready for joining a strong team so I don't expect him to reject Tottenham.
If Barcelona really wants to get rid of Depay, they should make easy the transfer process. I am sure Barcelona won't plan to sell Depay at an expensive price since his contract will expire in less than 1 year (Jun 30, 2023). Moreover, Barcelona already has 2 strong center-forwards (Lewandowski, Aubameyang), so they need to release Depay to decrease the number of players' salaries. Anyway, I don't expect Depay to move to Tottenham because Tottenham already has 2 CF (Kane and Richarlison). I doubt Depay will spend more time on the bench. If there is another offer from other top clubs, it is better to choose a club that really needs a CF.
Even Barcelona is trying their best for offloading him from their squad but right now things are in favour of Memphis Depay because Manchester United is already out of the race with players requirements are unacceptable for them and Tottenham is also not going to pay him salary which is he taking from Barcelona right now £230,000 a week even right now Barcelona is ready to accept any offer near this amount £12m because they are looking for offloading a high salary player for their financial problems but nothing good happening hopefully Newcastle United which is also had good interest in this player also join this race even still nothing clear about this all what is going to happen in next few days.
After watching this all most chances he is going to stay at Nou Camp for another season even most of the time he will sit at bench but after ending his contract he is going to be as free agent after one year.
Memphis Depay has two options now he either stay with Barcelona and continue to earn his £230,000 weekly wage while sitting on the bench till his contract runs out next season or move to Juventus with an agreed paycut as well as a regular starting shirt in the club, Tottenham is another option where playing time might be guaranteed for him however his huge weekly is a big obstacle, even with Harry Kane and Richardson as Tottenham centre forward he might be deployed to play at the flank with many matches to play especially UCL, league, FA cup etc obviously there will be regular playing time for him.
