Frenkie de Jong is not interested in leaving Barcelona right now. Barcelona also needs de Jong to strengthen the midfield. So Chelsea has to hope to get Frenkie de Jong into the team. Bernardo Silva is a key player for Manchester City. Guardiola is unlikely to decide to sell Silva. Chelsea coach prefers players whom Chelsea would not be able to recruit. Chelsea could not add any such big star player to the team this season.
Frankie cant leave without being paid what he's owed and is rightly so. Also the fact that nobody would match the salary that he's been getting even after the pay cut. That's come into consideration because Barcelona could at least get his wages off the books by sending him out on loan to other clubs but that seems unlikely as well. Barcelona management are in shambles as they need to get rid of Frankie to make space for newer signings but they aren't able to do so.
