I won't be surprised if those thousands of solana wallets are just on an exchange.
But if its by hijacking the (centralized) miners' blocks, then I wouldn't be surprised at that either.

I was reading on twitter that this exploit has nothing to do with security of blockchain. There were many such hacks on ethereum too yet no one talking down ethereum.

Tom Robinson Co-founder Elliptic is saying hack might be due to some exploit in wallet software rather then in solana blockchain. That's like giving a clean chit to solana network in advance.
