That's a great idea, why would he wait for Spence if the champion is afraid of him, fighting Jermell Charlo and beating him will give Crawford another recognition and it will surely make him ahead of Spence in terms of ranking if he is not yet ahead now.

Why should he stay and be inactive for almost or over a year from a fight that is not yet clear to happen, this might be a big fight because the winner in this fight will be the undisputed boxer in the welterweight division but he cannot force himself if Spence is really playing another game. He should go against Charlo and I reckon that will be a better decision rather than waiting for Spence.
