The average person think Bitcoin is anonymous which just isn’t true.
Sorry to disagree with you, but I think Bitcoin transactions are pretty anonymous, though with some little exceptions here and there.
Bitcoin transactions actually give the user the option of either being anonymous or being traceable, it's your choice to make.
Take for example - -
Owning a vanity address and making transactions from it is you simply saying "NO" to your anonymity, simply because this is an address that already identifies with you through your username or whatever characters you used which people already have linked to you.

On the other hand, Maybe you work in a company that pays your salary in bitcoin and you don't want the management of that company snooping around your address and wanting to see which address you are sending your bitcoin salary to, there is a way to make your transactions totally anonymous and highly untraceable, and that is using a coinjoin service, this service is offered by some bitcoin wallets and WASABI wallet is one of those wallets that offer such feature.

I hope with the above, I am able to convince you that Bitcoin is anonymous and even better than monero since it give you the choice of choosing whether to be anonymous or not in terms of your transactions.
