So it looks like they have removed us.
Now this may be temporary measure and something worst is coming or they decided while we are pleased that we are no longer on their list we still have concerns.
If they are truly looking to help the community then great. A site like this is needed without a doubt. But it needs to be run in responsible manner like other reputation sites out there.
1. There needs to be transparency on the methods used to decide who goes on the list and does not.
2. There needs to be transparency about the owners of the site.
3. They need to learn how to actually due diligence on the sites they investigate.
4. There needs to be reports on the progression from a sites first getting investigated and the escalation and resolution process before a site is listed.
Example
Site a received x mount of complaints and show proof of the complaints.
Site a was contacted about the complaints and this is their response.
If there is no resolution then move the site to public shame but not black list give the site a chance to publicly respond.
Then if all else fails put them in the list.
Any respectable consumer protection site does not hide who the operators are. The online casino industry does this extremely well check out
http://www.casinomeister.com/ not a pretty site but they are very respected, tough but fair and their owner is very visible. Before you crying that you need to stay private for your own protection well the online casino industry has just as many gangsters and crazy people as the Bitcoin world does.
But they do not hide because they can actually stand behind their work.
I am worried about the other site owners that are on the list.
I am worried about them coming back to us later and trying to extort us again or doing something else.
But for now I am happy to see we are not on the site and if anyone from Badbitcoins wants to talk to rep of Beast Options please feel free to come to Toronto.
