People are curious about Dortmund's performance because they are wondering how successful they will be after selling Haaland. They weren't too impressive against Leverkusen in their first league game but they still secured a 1-0 win. However it is obvious that they still need a significant improvement in their effort. This is not enough for staying in the title race mathematically for a long time. I'm not saying that they can keep up with Bayern Munich until the end but at least they can hold on for longer.
Even a minimal victory over one of the competitors for the second place is very good (I think it makes no sense to talk about the struggle for the first place). But it's too early to draw conclusions about the strength of the teams in one or two matches, I think a little later everything will be more clear. Although with respect to Bayern it is already clear after two games that they have a very strong attack, but the defense leaves much to be desired - in every game they concede goals.
