It looks like Manchester United supporters really waited for seeing this poor performance. I was just astonished to see the score of the first half. I watched the goals after and saw that they conceded because of defensive mistakes again. They are just still unable to figure a way out about this weakness of them. Maguire is still preferred by Erik ten Hag as well which is another thing that is hard to get. He was obviously the worst player of the team last season. How can he trust him like this in the first league game already?
To think Erik ten hag have fixed most Manchester United problem during the pre-season tour.They cruised there way through four pre season games only to be hit by Pascal grob on the first match of season.United captain(Maguire) as always was lacking sharpness as well as positioning throughout the game.With him at the centre of United's defence,all I see is disaster
Man utd team is struggling, and the whole team is and it's not just the fault of maguire, even the only goal they score was a player scoring against his own goal, and I don't think maguire have that big of an impact on their offensive line as well, Man utd did nothing in the transfer market to make their team better, and the results are showing already.
The fixings were supposed to be in the midfield. Because Manchester United's dismal midfield display was seen as the main reason for their loss to Brighton. They were unable to connect defense and attack. The midfield was passive and I understand that they’re trying to bring in Frenkie De Jong, but it’s looking impossible. Ten Hag must look at alternative options and try to sign a midfielder before the transfer window closes on September 1 if they are to stand any chance of improving. Manchester United have plenty of work to do ahead of facing Brentford next weekend.
