I really don’t think that Atletico Madrid is going to be a part of the equation when it comes to winning the La Liga title. It is once again going to be Barcelona versus Real Madrid for the title race in La Liga.
Real Madrid already has a great squad. And Barcelona has also improved immensely in this transfer market. So I believe the other teams in La Liga are not in a position of competing for that La Liga title in my opinion.
Why do you underestimate Atletico Madrid?
Atletico Madrid is still a strong team, they have many top players on their squad. But I agree that their defense seems not really strong anymore, Diego Simeone needs to sign some top defenders in this transfer window. Since the transfer window will be closed on September 1, Atletico Madrid still has a chance to sign new players.
Well, Real Madrid and Barcelona are always the favorite teams to win the La Liga title, but it doesn't mean Atletico has no chance (impossible). I believe Atletico still has the power to compete for the title.
