I agree that our power of will is the ultimate thing and people can create great lives and get out of struggling situations
but it's also worth noting how the environment can affect us, being in a calmer place, in contact with nature, not rushing, not eating junk food and exercising will improve our lives in many levels.Absolutely. There's no doubt about that. Changing the ecological environment for better does have a lot of benefits. But I think, when we talk about gambling addiction, by environment we mean people that surround you. If you move to another place, but the people around you will remain the same, that will hardly help you to deal with your addiction.
I agree with this, but I also agree with changing literally the environment you are in. The physical environment can play a factor in someone's habit to gamble. If the area you are residing in is populated with casinos, most probably you'll just going to loop over and over even if you decide to quit. This is because you'll keep on seeing your usual hangout place and then eventually, you'll crave for it until you give in.
Those people around us play a factor too in gambling addiction. If the people around you are disciplined and financial literate, they could motivate you to be the same which could help you survive addiction. However, if the people around you are irresponsible gamblers, they might corrupt you even more until there is nothing left of you.
