not all altcoins are scams and i would not say altcoins are a bad place to invest. but there are some altcoins that are really good for short-term investments or looking for daily profits not for long-term investments. but if you really want to invest for the long term i suggest choosing the Ethereum altcoin.
for me ethereum is one of the strongest altcoins and the king of all altcoins. the reason i trust ethereum as the best altcoin is that i saw ethereum journey from a few years ago and until now it was very good until the release of ETH 2.0. so the seriousness of ethereum development has been proven and deserves to be trusted
