You're correct, those two players that he's referring to.
Messi's old is 35 years and Ronaldo's old is 37 years, the next world cup Messi will already 39 years and Ronaldo will already 41 years which is most of players already retire at that ages. Although there's a player who still have an excellent performance beside he's already 40 years old e.g. Ibrahimovic, but it's very rare.
They both never said it's their last world cup, but it could happen.
