No. Privacy isn't that, or similar to that. When I say I want privacy, I mean I want the ability to selectively reveal my activity to the rest of the world. That applies to the other party too. I can't forbid from the merchant to not reveal this activity since he's part of it. However, if both of us want to remain private, we must not have leave some surveillance companies effectively tracing that activity and revealing it to the world without our consent.
