I really see no point in being excited by lottery results from years ago. It is like it was in the previous century.
As swogerino mentioned, the times has changes, I do not know how it was in the past, but probably now the lottery is really a secondary thing. I think most of people here, on the forum, has disabled tickets from free rolls; if someone has huge amount of tickets then it is probably from referrals.
Yeah, many users prefer to get WOF spins and RP instead of lottery tickets. So I agree with you about that, and it's obvious we shouldn't get hung up on getting lottery tickets, given that the chance of winning the weekly lottery is extremely low. By the way, it would be nice if freebitcoin also added an option to disable lottery tickets in the hi/lo game and the wheel of fortune.
It would be very good to earn more RPs and satoshis at Wheel instead of lottery tickets, but I think it's part of their balance strategy to not give too much money away to users, what could compromise the platform's sustainability. They have to pay every single satoshi to users, while RPs I doubt it's everyone who swaps it, because it's needed to accumulate 100,000 RPs first, so it's likely not every RP paid is going to be converted to real money, but lottery tickets they can give million without necessarily having to pay anything to users, as only few people win the final prize.
I believe lottery tickets are just a consolation prize to not let the person go away without receiving nothing from his roll/claim.
