The only reason that made me worry about ETH is that $890 drop while bitcoin held $17k which i had imagined it might happen again, i had also entered ETH at 1.1k - 1.4k - 1.7k
Make sense but you are making a wrong prediction. It seems like ethereum is still trading under 1,7k and that means if you have been loosing small amounts of money from your portfolios. It's better to diversify your portfolios if you must also face the same risk like when you are investing in ethereum.
I see no difference between big or small coins. The only different thing is possibility to make money from small cap coins far greater compared with high marketcap coin.
