I think the problem of low manpower in Liverpool's midfielders is mainly because of their lack of reliable midfielders. If only Klopp, the Liverpool coach has more money to buy more midfielders in the early season. Is it just me or did Liverpool seems to be frugal on the money spent on players' acquisitions this season? Or do other clubs have more money from the sponsors that they outbuy Liverpool?
Klopp addressed the situation publicly and they know that they need midfielders but it seems they are looking for a right midfielder and one who can make the impact they need. It obviously gonna take time but till then need a proper midfielder pairs to patch things up till then. They always been smart in buying players actually. I don't think money is a matter for them, they just take things hard by thinking a little bit too much.
