Controlling yourself is something that is very important. I mean, if you know how to budget your bankroll and you are really intact, with the system that you are using, you can stay longer and lose a little, but the problem is not many can deal with it, most of the time when a gambler already has a high desire to win or to keep on playing, his appetite will for him to deposit more. It's reality that might lead the gambler to too much addiction and will leave him losing a lot.
It is definitely something that took me a while to master but I have managed to do it one way or another. Just something that I couldn't do without help, so I would understand other people not managing to do it because it wasn't just me. It was friends and family and even my therapist who helped me reach to this middle ground, nowadays I can go one full month without gambling and not even realize that I didn't gamble, if I wanted to completely stop (which I did a few times) I can go on for many months.
I just feel like there is an upside of having fun and since I am losing only a tiny amount of money that doesn't hurt me at all, and accept defeat before I even start, it doesn't hurt me anymore.
