There is a possibility that Portugal and Argentina could play in the finals, just like almost most world cups. Which is why I am still holding out hope one last time, I know that 4 years from now it would be quite difficult for Ronaldo to be the striker for Portugal, and maybe Messi won't be there as well. This means this is the last time that we are going to see Argentina and Portugal having a chance of finals against each other to see these two giants.
I know that Argentina does have a chance but Portugal doesn't and they are given low odds but I just hope some pure luck and something happens and we watch that. I guarantee you, in ANY combination of finals, that would be the most viewed finals ever.
if that happens, i.e. Argentina vs Portugal in the 2022 FIFA world cup final, then it will definitely be the match that gets the most coverage. because like you said. in it there are two star players. and these two players namely cristiano Ronaldo and Messi will play in the world cup for the last time.
but the chances for argentina and portugal will indeed be very difficult to get to the final. But every World Cup there is always a surprise. and the possibilities are always there. although I expect the same as you. but still I want the countries I support to compete in the final, namely South Korea and Japan. but the current South Korea and Japan don't seem to be in a good form. but i still support it because i am asian.
