10 BTC is definitely a huge amount to lose but it seems that you did something terribly wrong to lose that kind of money.
You should share your whole story about how you lost such a huge amount. May be that will help others in avoiding the mistake.
It's good that you have come back and are willing to start over again. It takes good amount of will power for that action.
But before starting make sure you know the pros and cons of each and everything you do.
Knowledge is power and by doing a good amount of research on anything you can get good knowledge on it.
So make sure you know what you get into and invest wisely.
