Chelsea’s DM position has some history of black players excelling at it. The likes of Makelele, Essien, Mikel Obi and Kante. Zakaria will follow their footsteps. I can see him being very much like Essien, think he’ll do well and keep Jorginho on the bench, especially once Kante and Kovacic are fully fit.
I wonder about the amount. For 3 million euros... he is worth almost 10x. But there is a option for 28 million euros. Then the deal is good for juventus after all. That would be 3x as much as they spent for him. Zakaria will learn from Kante and Jorginho. They speak Italian and the African mentality then comes from Kante. We will seen if he can take the position of the two top stars in the next 12 months.
