Well, as you said, in beginning of war he said that Kyiv isdoomed.
There isn't any reasons to believe in Russian propaganda, though Ukrainian media isn't most reliable source too. I rather trust things like ISW reports which covers things from more or less neutral perspective and it saysthat Ukraine counteroffensive din't succed or failed in day or two.
