And the sad part, these people who are participating in exhibition matches are being paid more compared to professional boxers.
Probably its because of the hype of the fight that fans are willing to buy tickets and PPV. So I guess it's going to continue whether we hate seeing legends in sports getting laid down on the canvass that we haven't seen them in their pro careers.
And to add, it's a different era now. Entertainment in the old days is only caught when there's an event like boxing, a real match like Mike Tyson vs Holyfield. But now, it's way different, entertainment can come from anything, and even those who are not professional at what they do can challenge someone and ignite a trend for it to happen. So it's either we accept it and just enjoy the other fights or not watch it at all and wait for the professional match which most of the time takes a long time in preparation.
I won't worry much though, pro fights support is still more intense than social media stars.
