the hype around this is very interesting, given that most of the services will be non-commercial, it will be interesting to see how many of them will survive the next cycle of domain and hosting renewal.

Moreover, those of us, who are into serious development for long, have enough abundant server space to host multiple websites like this.
So, effectively, neither domain nor hosting renewal will become a roadblock in near future.
