On September 1, 2022, the GetBlock Webhooks beta testing campaign begins.

Starting with a BNB chain such as Binance Smart Chain or BSC, new features will be implemented for the rest of the mainstream blockchains.
Webhooks are fast notification methods that transfer data from one source to another when a specific event occurs. They can notify watchers about events in blockchain blocks and transactions.
Webhooks are much more resource-efficient than using classic nodes APIs to pull data. Instead, a receiver system is defined that will receive requests from a sender system when events occur. These requests are called webhooks and are sent without any additional commands or actions required.
GetBlock Tracker (
https://account.getblock.io/tracker) allows websites to receive data as a JSON file. The name comes from the fact that the toolkit can track up to 40 parameters for blocks, transactions and receipts.
Webhooks are useful to anyone.
By using blockchain-based payment systems, value transfer systems, or anything else that utilizes webhooks, crypto alerts or callback web pages, applications can gain a variety of additional services. These include on-chain notifications, webhooks and callbacks that use Web3.
Webhooks are commonly used for providing 10 classes of services that are considered “real-world” applications. These are primary examples of Webhook usage:
- Crypto wallets;
- On-chain analytical systems;
- DeFi protocols;
- Trading bots;
- Portfolio trackers and managers;
- Crypto accounting and taxation protocols;
