No, the market will contract until December-Jan, then should flatten and surge again within a year or two from that point.
This pattern happens with the Bitcoin halving.
Ethereum may change the pattern with the new proof-of-stake model, and the amount of market cap Eth represents should not be ignored.
Bitcoin is still king.
If Ethereum takes over Bitcoin's market cap, I will be concerned about the long-term value proposition in any crypto as it will always be subject to "derailment" by a new generation coin.
The same is true for publicly traded companies, so it's just a fact of life; if you want relatively assured value, better buy Gold (until they figure out how to 3d print it
