Ok so when i started with trading I try to learn so much about candlestick patterns but when i started looking at other traders on YouTube and even generally online I hardly see anyone even consider them while trading yeah they might look at color of candle but that's all. Specially those advance candlestick patterns like rising soldiers and all that, I don't even remember anyone even mention them once while trading or in any tutorial. So my question is for trading veterans here do they use it or is it really overrated thing which serve no purpose in real time trading?

There is no worse place to learn charting and trading than YouTube. This is the place where 99 out of 100 video traders are absolute laymen in trading, have negative historical returns, but for some reason they imagine that they can teach someone and explain something when they themselves still need to learn and learn. Of course, in trading, candlestick analysis is of great importance and it can be easily traded without even using a single technical indicator. Whoever tells you that this is impossible simply does not know how to use graphical analysis. In candlestick analysis, trends and levels have a lot of weight as a signal to conclude a deal. Knowing how to identify them, you will not need anything else, except for Japanese candlesticks.
