If this is true then It is bad, I think as a coach it is ethical to talk to your team players from time to time, get to know them personally and professionally, I think almost every coach does that in modern football. You have to create that familiarity with the player so as to create a connection with them, no wonder he finds it difficult to connect and have an understanding level with the team players.
