When it comes to chasing, Sri Lanka is good at it. They won several matches chasing runs. Yesterday they lost some early wickets. Still, they managed to win the match with five wickets. About Pakistan, I would say they tried to test the players from the bench. They replaced Shadab Khan and Naseem Shah with Usman Qadir and Hasan Ali. Pakistan shouldn't rely on Asif Ali, Nawaz and Rizwan. They cannot perform in every match. Mr. Captain should fire up and show his skills in the final.
They wanted to give some rest to Naseem Shah, and it's OK. He is a young bowler and it is important not to overburden him. But the replacements didn't perform well. Pace attack was one led by Mohammad Hasnain and Haris Rauf, with Hasan Ali leaking too many runs. Usman Qadir was also very expensive (especially in a low scoring match), although he picked up the wicket of Bhanuka Rajapaksa. The absence of a quality spinner is going to be a big problem for Pakistan. Neither Usman Qadir nor Shadab Khan has the international quality.
If you are living in subcontinent and have love with cricket then surely you know Pakistani internal politics which is hurting them for decades, and they have never been good to settle them because board is also not powerful mostly peoples are working on political basis or personal likes and dislikes which is the biggest issue with this country.
Recently we have few good young talented boys, but sadly they are not coming into international matches just because of personal likes and dislikes, so their bench power is never been strong like India where now mostly players are coming with talent and their own skills which is the biggest difference between these two countries right now Haider Ali, Shaan Masood and few more skilled boys are out of team because they have no enough money or sources for join national team.
They are bringing Iftkhar Ahmad who is nothing but have good links in selectors and board so never accept anything positive they are doing good but still never been had quality and strong team for long time.
