Manchester United are going to go straight to their Europa League game after the postponements. I wonder if Erik ten Hag is thinking of making similar changes in the lineup again. Maintaining this winning streak of four games won't be easy for them maybe but they can easily increase it to five next week. Because I don't think that Leeds can make big difficulties for them after starting to have a really bad form. Brentford hit them hard by a 5-2 defeat last.
I assume that Erik ten Hag's first choice would be Rashford again instead of Ronaldo. Actually it might depend on Ronaldo's performance against Sheriff Tiraspol. Most probably we would see him in the starting eleven again and he needs to use this chance well. I wouldn't expect to talk about Ronaldo like this but his job isn't easy while Rashford is making such a big effort.
I really feel like Cristiano Ronaldo should be in the starting 11. He is still a great player and there is no reason why he should not be played as a starting 11 player. His performance this season has not been well.
But there is also a big reason behind it. The coach does not have any confidence in Cristiano Ronaldo and right now it feels like Cristiano Ronaldo is a player who is more suited as a bench warmer instead of a world-class player. This is the reason why everyone thought he should leave Manchester United when he had even a little bit of chance. I really don't think he will be able to improve his performance. At least not at the level where the coach will start thinking that he is going to be the main man of the team.
